TDP Releases Manifesto For Panchayat Elections In Andhra Pradesh

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on the 28th of January, released its manifesto for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Grama Panchayat polls. 

Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the TDP, released the five pointer manifesto named “Pragati Pancha Sutras.”

Mr. Naidu said the manifesto would aim to provide good governance to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP’s Pancha Sutras manifesto would bring development and progress in grams of the State.

The five points mentioned in the manifesto for the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Elections are:

1) Protected fresh water with free taps.

2) Ensuring security.

3) Preventing attacks on temples as well as security for public property.

4) Avoid the meters for agricultural motors.

5) Reduction of property tax and provide civic services; creating ideal villages with cleanliness and hygiene.

During the manifesto release event, Mr. Naidu criticised the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

The Andhra Pradesh Grama Panchayat elections are scheduled to begin from the 9th of February and would continue till the 21st of February.

The notification for the first phase of the Gram Panchayat elections was issued on the 23rd of January and polling would be held on the 9th of February.

For the second phase, the notification was issued on the 27th of January and polling is scheduled on the 13th of February.

The third phase polling is scheduled for the 17th of February, for which the notification would be issued on the 31st of January.

The final phase polling would be held on the 21st of February and the notification would be issued on the 4th of February, according to the SECs schedule.
