Gaurav Uppal, the District Collector of Telangana, on the 8th of May, suspended approximately 30 officials for showing carelessness from polling duties, in Nalgonda, Telangana.
According to sources, around 30 officials were found neglecting their duties in the 1st phase of the Zila Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) and the Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC.)
Apart from suspending 30 officials, the DC also issued show cause notices to 86 employees, who were absent from their polling duties without permission.
After passing the orders, the Gaurav Uppal gave a warning and asked the employees to perform their duties in the 2nd and 3rd phases of the ZPTC and MPTC.
The 2nd and 3rd phase of the ZPTC and the MPTC elections will be held in Miryalaguda and Nalgonda on the 14th of May.
