The Election Commission (EC) of Telangana, announced re elections of the Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC,) rescheduled for the 14th of May.
The decision was taken due to the changed ballot papers in Moinabad and Mirudoddi mandal in Siddipet, Telangana.
According to sources, polling centres of Aziznagar of Moinabad and Alwal of Mirdoddi had approximately 34 and 50 ballot papers of Kanakamamidi centre in it. Due to the incorrect ballot papers, the EC decided to conduct re elections with correct ballot papers in these constituencies.
Now, the polling centres of Aziznagar and Alwal will contest the MPTC elections, on the 14th of May, which is also the third phase of the Zila Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) and the MPTC.
The results of the ZPTC and the MPTC elections will be announced on the 27th of May 2019.
