Telangana – Five Person Allowed For Friday Prayers At A Time

The Telangana Waqf Board, on the 27th of March, released a statement for the Friday praying and announced to allow only 5 person at a time for prayer in mosque in Telangana.

The orders were issued in the backdrop of the Friday prayers (Namaz offerings.)

The press released issued in regards to this read, “Despite high significance attached to Friday prayers, Islam also gives great importance to the preservation of human life. Islam asks Muslims not to become the cause of harm to anyone.”

The decision to avoid was taken in the wake of the deadly Novel Coronavirus, which infected as many as 735 people in India and 59 in Telangana.   To avoid any kind of mass gathering the Telangana Wafq Board issued the notice, a day ahead of the Friday prayer.

Meanwhile, Assaduddin Owaisi, the President of the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) urged all the Muslims to avoid visiting Mosque and pray at home.

Mr. Owaisi took to his official Twitter  handle and posted the same.
