The Telugu state ministers have been appointed as members of the new Standing Committees of Rajya Sabha.
On the 8th of November, Tuesday, Mr. Jagdeep Dhankar, the Rajya Sabha Chairman, announced the ministers appointed as members. In this extent, the Central Government led Rajya Sabha Secretariat released a bulletin.
As per the released bulletin, Mr. Vijayasai Reddy, a Member of Parliament (MP) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh has been appointed as a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) member. In addition, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP from Telangana Mr. Kesava Rao is also named a member of the BAC.
Moreover, Dr. K. Laxman from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was appointed as a member of the Rules Committee, Mr. G.V.L. Narsimha Rao (BJP) was appointed as a member of the Privileges committee and Mr. K.R. Suresh Reddy (TRS) was appointed in the Committee on Subordinate Legislation.
Furthermore, Mr. C.M. Ramesh of the BJP has been appointed as the Chairman of the House Committee and Mr. B. Lingaiah (TRS) has been appointed as a member of the House Committee.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Mr. Jagdeep Dhankar would continue as the Chairman of the Rules Committee Rules, Privileges committee and Business Advisory Committees.
