The two Telugu states reported more than 4,500 cases of Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection cases till the 26th of May.
While 1,920 positive cases were reported in Telangana, cases of COVID-19 cases stood at 2,983 in Andhra Pradesh. In Telangana, on the 26th of May, 66 new cases were reported and in Andhra Pradesh, the spike in cases registered was 48 cases.

Despite a nationwide lockdown till the 31st of May, cases are increasing rapidly in the Telugu states.
The media bulletin released by the respective state governments confirmed the cases and deaths.
The highest cases of the Novel Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh were reported from Kurnool, Guntur, Krishna and Nellore.
On the other hand, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limit recorded most of the COVID-19 cases in Telangana.
With these updates, Telangana has a total of 1,920 cases, out of which 700 are active cases, 1,164 recovered and 56 deceased.
In Andhra Pradesh with 70 % recovery rate, out of the total 2,983 cases, 909 are active cases, 2,017 are recovered cases and 57 are deceased.
