Tollywood actor Mr. Suman commented on the ongoing movie ticket issue in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)
On the 4th of January, Tuesday, Mr. Suman addressed a press conference and said, “Increasing and decreasing movie ticket prices will be depending upon the situations taking place in the State.”
Mr. Suman further said that the Chief Minister (CM) would take proper decisions according to the situation in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) and no one could question it. He added that still, everyone is comparing both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh even after bifurcation and added that situations in both states are different.
Mr. Suman also highlighted that profits would come to films only if the audience comes to the theatres. However, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) would take appropriate decisions considering the situation.
Notably, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) recently issued a Government Order (GO) announcing a new movie ticket portal. The YSRCP Government passed the order to set up a State run website for the online sale of cinema tickets in both single and multiplex theatres. The decision to enter the business of movie tickets was taken to ensure corruption free ticket selling and tax evasion from private companies. The sudden issued order of the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government shocked the people of the Tollywood Industry and Cineplex and Multiplex businessmen. As per the new GO, the State Government would soon float a new online portal, selling movie tickets under the AP State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation. In regard to this, the State Government also formed a committee, which is working on the modalities and the blueprint.
