Many Tollywood stars contributed huge amounts as donations for the prevention and welfare of the people during the pandemic illness crisis.

The world is drowning in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 crisis, infecting more than 6 lakh people and claiming lives of approximately 23,000 people globally.

To fight the crisis and enhance preventive measures, many celebrities extended support and contributed crores to the film industry workers, poor people and CM relief funds.

King of Tollywood Akkineni Nagarjuna donated Rs. 1 crore for film workers, on the 28th of March.  Mr. Nagarjuna said daily wage film workers are suffering financial crisis and the amount is his bid to help these workers for survival during the lockdown period.

Besides Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu another Tollywood actor donated Rs. 1 crores, Allu Arjun donated an amount of Rs. 1.25 crores, Prabhas gave an amount of Rs. 4 crores, Bala Krishna donated Rs. 1 crores, Jr. NTR donated Rs. 1 crore, Chiranjeevi donated Rs. 1 crores and Allari Naresh donated Rs. 1 crore.

These donations would be collected and invested for the prevention of the COVID-19 and would also help the daily workers like spot boy, light man, camera person and others for their survival.

Apart from actors, politicians and party leaders of the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,also contributed their salaries and money to the Chief Minister relief funds for prevention.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, currently has 13 and 59 COVID-19 positive cases till date
