For the darshan on Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD,) devotees booked online tickets. On the 23rd of October, Saturday, a total of 3 lakh slotted sarva darshan (SSD) tickets (free darshan tickets) were booked.
In a surprise move, the total of 3 lakh tickets for the darshan at the Tirumala Tirupati temple was booked in just 22 minutes after the TTD online portal was opened. On Saturday, at 9:00 A.M., the TTD portal to book the darshan tickets was opened and before 9:30 A.M., approximately 3 lakh tickets were booked.
The SSD tokens are for common pilgrims, visiting the TTD for the darshan of Lord Venkateshwar. The online portal for bookings was open for the month of November and December darshan quota. While for darshan the bookings started today, the accommodation bookings at the TTD would begin from the 25th of October.
However, bookings for darshan on the 6th and the 18th of December have been put on hold due to special occasions.
Besides the sarva darshan tickets, special entry darshan (SED,) of Rs. 300 tickets were also made available on the TTD website. However, the special ticket booking worth Rs. 300 was open from the 22nd of October, 9:00 A.M.
How to book online darshan tickets:
Step 1: Go to the official website of TTD at https://tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in/
Step 2: The page will directly take you to a notice from the independent trust
Step 3: Those interested need to click on the hyperlink that reads, “Please click here to book Special Entry Darshan (Rs.300) tickets/ SSD ticket for common pilgrims.
Step 4: As a new page opens, people need to fill in details and complete the process.
