TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy Tests COVID-19 Positive

On the 15th of October, Y.V. Subba Reddy, the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) tested positive for the deadly Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection.

Currently, Mr. Reddy is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana.

In the past few days nearly 743 priests and workers of the TTD tested positive for the COVID-19 infection.

In addition, Y.V. Subba Reddy also conducted several meetings and participated in a few activities at TTD temple.

The participation of the TTD Chairman has caused concern among the people who came in direct contact of Y.V. Subba Reddy.

Besides everyone else at the temple, Mr. Reddy also celebrated his mother’s birthday on the 12th of October and is now concerned about her health.

Though Y.V. Subba Reddy tested COVID-19 positive, the Tirupati temple would remain open for devotees.

In the past few days many ministers, political leaders and reputed people of Andhra Pradesh were diagnosed with COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh reduced near to 41,669 and recovery cases increased to 7,19,477.

The deceased cases in the State stand at 6,319 and overall positive cases are 7,67,465.

It is noted the everyday spike in the COVID-19 cases reduced to approximately 4,000 from the previous 10,000 to 7,000.

With all these updates, the recovery rate of Andhra Pradesh in the Novel Coronavirus cases stand at 93 %.
