The Andhra Pradesh Police, on the 5th of August, arrested two people for allegedly posting abusive comments against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
The accused were identified as Avinash and Gopi, residents of Amaravati and Chillakallurpet, Andhra Pradesh, respectively. Both the accused were produced in the AP Court, where the Court ordered to remand the two for two weeks.
The incident came to light after the Jaggayyapeta Police Station registered a complaint against the accused.
According to Nagendra Kumar, the Circle Inspector (CI) of Jaggayyapeta, Avinash posted an objectionable comment against Jagan Mohan Reddy and Gopi shared the post.
The CI and Sub Inspector (SI) also issued a notice and warned the public not to post any abusive comments or share any such posts against prominent people, on Facebook or any other social media platform.
