UPSC 2019 Results Declared, Pradeep Singh Tops

On the 4th of August, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released 2019 results on its official website.

Pradeep Singh topped the UPSC exams 2019. While Pradeed Singh secured first position, Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma are second and third respectively.

A total of 829 candidates qualified the 2019 UPSC examinations and would get appointment letters from the Indian Government.

Out of the total 829 qualified candidates, 304 are from general category, 78 from EWS, 251 from Other Backward Classes (OBC,) 129 from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and 67 are from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

Candidates could download the UPSC provisional appointment list of candidates online, from the official website, upsc.gov.in.

The list has been released on the basis of written examination and personality test of Civil services examination 2019.

The appointment recommendations have been made to Indian Administrative Service (IAS,) Indian Foreign Service (IFA,) Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services, divided in Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

The written exams of UPSC were conducted in September 2019 and the interviews or Personality Test in February to August, 2020.

Meanwhile, the result of 11 candidates has been kept withheld.

The Civil Services exam 2020 was scheduled to be held on May 31. The exam has been rescheduled on the 4th of October in the view of the coronavirus crisis.
