On the night of the 20th of September, a violent clash broke out between the Telugu Desam Party and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders. The incident took place during the late hours of Monday, when the YSRCP and TDP workers were carrying out a Ganesh idol immersion procession.
The clash broke out after two parties’ cadres crossed each other during the Ganesh idol immersion procession. Heated argument turned violent, resulting in injuries to seven people.
According to a local TDP leader Ms. Sarada, a few YSRCP workers allegedly broke into her house. They set the house furniture on fire and also burnt six of her vehicles. Soon, the incident created a huge ruckus and violent clash between the two parties’ workers. The incident turned extremely violent and caused physical injuries to seven people. The seven people who received injuries were rushed to a nearby hospital and police were informed. The Pedanandipadu police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. The police also registered a case against the cadres of both the YSRCP and TDP workers. The police booked the accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and launched an investigation.
With this, it is the second time in the past one week that TDP and YSRCP workers created violence.
Recently, at the Undavalli residence of Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, a few YSRCP leaders created a ruckus and violence.
