Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 7th of October, launched a Judicial Preview Committee, the website with its logo at Tadepalli in Guntur, AP.
The website was launched under the initiative of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party of establishing transparency in tenders of infrastructural projects in Andhra Pradesh.
The official URL of the website is judicialpreview.ap.gov.in. The website launch is under the recently passed State Infrastructure (transparency through Judicial Preview) Act, 2019.
According to the new Act, the documents related to any infrastructure project of Rs. 100 crore or more than that should be submitted before the Judicial Review Committee before approval.
After the review of the judicial committee, the YSRCP Government will upload all the tenders received on the website for the suggestions of the citizens of Andhra Pradesh. The selection of tenders and contractors for state infrastructures will be done based on the public’s opinion.
Finally, after the review of committee and public opinion, the State Government will approve any tender.
The Judicial Committee comprises Justice Dr. B. Siva Shankara Rao, L.V. Subramanyam, the Chief Secretary of AP, Ajay Kallam, the Principal Advisor to Chief Minister, Rajath Bhargava, the Principal Secretary Commissioner, Siddarth Jain, the Inspector General for Stamps and Registration Department, Advocate General S. Sriram, L.V. Patel, the Joint Director of the AP Industries, Y. Sharath Babu, the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) Deputy Zonal Manager of Guntur and others attended the event.
