Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 15th of August, launched the village volunteer programme for the people of all the villages in AP.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy officially launched the scheme and hoisted the national flag in Vijayawada.
Jagan Mohan Reddy selected the 15th of August as the date to launch the initiative. The programme will be a door to door campaign which will help in creating awareness among the people about welfare schemes.
On the 13th of August, Jagan conducted a video conference with District Collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) in AP. During the conference, the AP CM discussed the responsibilities of the village volunteers and the Gram Secretariat.
The volunteers speaking about the schemes and policies should be the bridge between the villagers and the village ministries, which will soon be constructed in every village of AP.
The village volunteers started performing their duties from the 15th of August.
Later, the YSRCP will also organise a training session and awareness programmes about various topics, in Andhra Pradesh.
Approximately 2.25 lakh people were selected as village volunteers, out of a total of 22 lakh applications. The initiative of the AP Government also opened a path for future opportunities for the citizens of AP.
There will be a total of 1.34 lakh jobs after the construction of the new secretariats. The training session of the village volunteers will begin from the 3rd of October and will continue till the 30th of October.
This is a one of a kind initiative taken by the YSRCP Government for the people of AP.
This is Jagan Mohan Reddy’s first Independence Day as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
