YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Conducts Review Meeting Over COVID-19 Situation

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 29th of September, conducted a review meeting over the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Mr. Reddy directed the district collectors to be vigilant regarding the spread of the Novel Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh.

During the meeting, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy also reviewed the COVID-19 situation, every day cases and other arrangements to control the spread of the virus.

Mr. Reddy said although there is a reduction in the Novel Coronavirus rate in the State from 12% to 8.30 %, district collectors need to be careful and take precautions to control the spread.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh conducted the meeting through video conferencing.

Mr. Reddy said the cases of the Novel Coronavirus are declining since the past few days. However, he urged the authorities to be vigilant enough to exist with coronavirus as the vaccine for the virus will take some time.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “The ANMs and local doctors should do the mapping and the doctor should also go to the house.” The CM suggested that the three Asha workers, the ANM and the PHC doctor should definitely talk to them. In the video conference of these collectors, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy made some remarks about the Leader of the Opposition Chandrababu Naidu and some media houses. “We are at war not only with a person named N Chandrababu but also with the yellow media with a negative mindset; We need to be extremely careful (sic.)”

The Chief Minister further asserted that Andhra Pradesh is the only state which is treating COVID-19 patients for free under the Aarogyasri scheme.

The list of the Novel Coronavirus hospitals would be available in Village secretariats.
