Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 25th of November, conducted a review meeting regarding the State Capital.
Jagan Mohan Reddy directed Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) officials to speed up the construction works in Amaravati under the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA.)
During the review meeting, Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the officials to study the economic conditions of Andhra Pradesh and directed them not to spend on unnecessary things. Besides, the YSRCP Government also directed the officials to initiate development work on a priority basis and also develop the plots allotted to the farmers who gave their land for the capital city.
CM Jagan Mohan Reddy also asked the officials to start the construction with the help of reverse tendering, following which the AP Government would grant the funds.
Jagan Mohan Reddy also asked the concerned officials to submit a detailed report regarding the works and expenditures done so far. He also asked for blueprints and information about the design of roads and asked the officials to plan with the help of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
B. Satyanarayana, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, Nilam Sawhney, the Chief Secretary of AP, Lakshmi Narasimham, the CRDA Commissioner and other officials attended the meeting.
