Y.S. Jagan Mohah Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 28th of September, wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In the letter, Mr. Reddy demanded Bharat Ratna for late S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, famous playback singer.
Recently, on the 25th of September, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam passed away.
Mr. Balasubrahmanyam 74, passed away at 1:04 P.M., at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Healthcare Hospital, Chennai.
Mr. Balasubrahmanyam was hospitalised after testing positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) on the 5th of August. Though he tested negative on the 9th of September, he was critical and on life support.
A team of multi specialist doctors were observing S.P. Balasubrahmanyam.
After several days at hospital and treatment, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam took his last breath on the 25th of September.
The final rites of veteran singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam were held on the 26th of September.
Two days after Mr. Balasubrahmanyam’s last rites, Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the Central Government to confer greatest civilian award, Bharat Ratna to Mr. Balasubrahmanyam.
