CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy distributed 2,562 tractors and 100 combine harvesters valued at Rs. 361 crores to farmer groups in Guntur as part of the YSR Yantra Seva Scheme Mega Mela. Additionally, 13,573 other agricultural machinery were distributed, and a subsidy amount of Rs. 125.48 crore was disbursed directly to the accounts of farmers’ groups. The visuals of CM Jagan driving a tractor during the event have now gone viral.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his commitment to fulfilling the promises made by the government by providing essential agriculture machinery to farmers. He emphasized that the government’s efforts have enabled farmers to become self-reliant.
Highlighting the key features of the YSR Yantra Seva Scheme, the Chief Minister mentioned that the government is facilitating the availability of tools at affordable prices through 6,525 Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBK) and 391 cluster-level Custom Hiring Centers (CHCs). He further added, “We have allocated Rs. 361.29 crores for tractors and combine harvesters and Rs. 15 lakhs for machinery at each RBK center.”
CM Jagan announced the government’s plan to benefit 7 lakh individuals by providing machinery in October. He reiterated that the government’s objective is to uplift all farmers and foster village self-governance, stating, “We have stood by the farmers and brought about village swaraj.”
The scheme has been flagged off under the YSRCP Government, to benefit farmers of the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh.
