Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) constituted a high level panel to visit the Odisha Train Accident site.

On the 3rd of June, Saturday, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, formed the panel of Indian Administration Service (IAS) officers headed by Mr. G. Amarnath, the Information Technology (IT) Minister.   The other members of the panel are Civil Supplies Commissioner Mr. Arun Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes  Mr. Anand, and Srikakulam Joint Collector Mr. Naveen. The team would visit the site of the tragic train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district, the station where the accident happened. 

The decision was taken after the Chief Minister held a high level meeting with the Chief Ministers’ Official (CMO) officials.   The meeting was held in the morning of the 3rd of June, Saturday.  He directed them to be in touch with the officials of the Odisha CMO and Railway Department. 

Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also told them to establish inquiry and grievance cells in the offices of District Collectors to deal with grievances and respond immediately.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to make arrangements in hospitals of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam districts to treat the injured and provide medical treatment and also keep ambulances ready.
