YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Launches Nethanna Nestham Scheme Today

On the 20th of June, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) launched the second phase of the YSR Nethanna Nestham scheme.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) after the approval of  Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy released funds for the implementation today.

The ruling party released Rs. 194.46 crores, benefiting as many as 81,024 handloom families in the State.

The YSR Nethanna Nestham, would aim to provide financial assistance of Rs. 24,000 to each weavers in the State.

The launch was a small event at Tadepalli CM camp office.

Jagan Mohan Reddy later interacted with the beneficiaries virtually through a video conference.

The state government directly deposited Rs 194.46 crores into bank accounts of 81,024 beneficiaries.

Initially the scheme was supposed to be launch on the 17th of June.  However, due to some reasons, the launch was postponed to the 20th of June.

During the launch event, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy praised the YSRCP for welfare activities and criticised the former State Government, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

Mr. Reddy said, while the YSRCP is spending approximately Rs. 400 crores for handloom workers, the TDP did not even spent Rs. 200 crores for them.

He also spoke about various welfare schemes introduced by the YSRCP Government in the past 1 year.

Some of the schemes launched under the YSRCP rule are: Rythu Bharosa scheme, Amma Vodi scheme, Pensions for beneficiaries and other welfare schemes.

It is also noted, Andhra Pradesh is the only State, which is launching welfare schemes amid the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus.

While the State is handling the pandemic situation, it is not compromising with the welfare schemes promised to be launched.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has a total of 7,961 cases of the Novel Coronavirus till the 20th of June.

Stay tuned for further updates.
