Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) is scheduled to meet the Union Minister for Transport and Road Mr. Nitin Gadkari, on the 6th of April, Wednesday.
According to sources, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is in Delhi met with the Union Minister at 9:15 A.M., on Wednesday. During the meeting, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed national highway development projects in Andhra Pradesh and other road development projects. The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to extend support to Visakhapatnam – Bhogapuram beach corridor project for providing better connectivity and boosting Tourism and said the officials are preparing better plans for the project as directed by the Union Minister during his recent visit to the State.
The Chief Minister said the construction works of the western bypass in Vijayawada are on a brisk pace and urged the Union Minister to take measures to link this road to CRDA grid Road.
Besides, meeting Mr. Nitin Gadkari, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister also met with the Union Finance Minister Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman and the Union Jal Shakti Minister Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The major discussion of the meeting with the Jal Shakti Minister and the Finance Minister was the Polavaram project. The meeting lasted 45 minutes and discussed on the expeditious construction and approval of designs for the Polavaram project.
It is to be noted, that the designs for the coffer Dam ECRF have already been approved by the Department of Jal Shakti and work would also begin soon.
Meanwhile, on the evening of the 5th of April, Tuesday, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy met with the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s meeting lasted for over an hour, with discussions over several key issues pertaining to the State Notably, the Prime Minister has responded positively to the issues reported by the Chief Minister.
On the other hand, after the successful tour of Delhi, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would return to the State on the 6th of April.
