Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) released the second installment of the awaited YSR Aasara Scheme
The YSR Asara Scheme of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) aims to empower women in the State and improve their financial stability. Under the YSR Asara Scheme, women beneficiaries of the Development of Women and Children of Rural Areas of Andhra Pradesh would get financial assistance without any restrictions on usage. The money released by the YSRCP Government would be a major help to the self help groups (SHGs) women, who could use the money for any purpose. In addition, the money deposited in their bank accounts would not be debited for any bank loans without the consent/approval of the beneficiary.
The second phase of the State Government’s YSR Aasara Scheme was released in Prakasam district. During the launch event, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister announced to celebrate the YSR Asara scheme celebration in the 18th month from today, in 2023.
In the second phase of the YSR Asara Scheme, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) released Rs. 6,439.52 crores, benefiting approximately 9,33,180 women groups which is equal to 90 lakh women.
However, the women of YSR Kadapa district needs to wait to avail the financial assistance of the YSR Asara Scheme. Due to the Badvel Assembly constituency by election and the imposed Model Code of Conduct (MCC,) the YSR Asara Scheme has been postponed.
The first phase of the YSR Asara scheme amounts to Rs. 6,470.76 crore to women of 8,00,042 self-help groups (SHGs) was released on the 11th of September. In this fiscal year, the YSRCP Government would release two more phases of the women oriented YSR Asara Scheme.
