Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 23rd of July, held a review meeting over the Nadu Nedu Program in the Education Department.

Launched by the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, the Nadu Nedu programs are an initiative taken to enhance the education system and infrastructure in schools of Andhra Pradesh.

According to sources, the Andhra Pradesh Minister chaired the meeting at the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Camp Office in Tadepalli. During the meeting, the YSRCP President said, “We have a good program for children, no Government has thought about school development in the past; there should not be even a small dispute over Nadu-Nedu work.” He further added, “There should be no scope for corruption in ‘Nadu-Nedu’ works which were taken up by us for the sake of children with a good cause.”

During the meeting, the Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh and other officials suggested that schools should reopen soon.

With this, the Andhra Pradesh Government decided to reopen government schools from the 16th of August. Due to the outbreak of the Wuhan virus (Novel Coronavirus) pandemic, schools have been closed from 2020 March.

Along with the reopening of the schools, the second phase of the Nadu Nedu program would also begin, from the 16th of August.
