Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, on the 8th of August, will conduct an aerial survey of the Polavaram Project, situated on the Godavari river, Andhra Pradesh.
According to sources, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to land in Gannavaram on the 8th of August, after his two day Delhi tour.
Jagan Mohan Reddy was in Delhi for a two day tour, on the 6th and the 7th of August. During his tour, Jagan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister of India and Nitin Gadkari, the Road Minister of India.
Apart from these Union Ministers, Jagan also met Venkaiah Naidu, the Vice President of India and Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India.
Jagan discussed the various issues faced by Andhra Pradesh and asked for financial help from the Central Government.
After coming back from Delhi, Jagan will review the Polavaram Project with the Irrigation Department officials.
Jagan will also survey the areas affected by the construction of the dam and monitor them from his helicopter.
Approximately 19 villages which fall under the Polavaram Project zone have been out of contact for 10 days.
There is also a danger alert in Dhavaleswaram as it is said there could be floods in Godavari river due to heavy rains.
Previously, it was said Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will visit Pulivendula and Penukonda, but due to his Delhi visit, the plan was cancelled. Now, Jagan will inaugurate the first car by Kia Motors India and will conduct an aerial survey of the Polavaram Project.
