The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) on the 27th of November, conducted a Cabinet meeting and approved the Kapu Nestam scheme.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) chaired the meeting and approved the scheme which provides financial assistance to women belonging to the Kapu community.
According to the Kapu Nestam scheme, the YSRCP Government would provide Rs. 15,000 annually to the women of the Kapu caste belonging to the age group of 46-60.
Women who are eligible for the scheme would have to submit a passport size photograph and their ration number as well as the following documents:
- Aadhar card
- Bonafide certificate
- Caste certificate
- Bank account details
- Birth certificate
- Academic qualification certificates
- Income certificate.
Apart from this, the Cabinet ministers also discussed welfare schemes such as the YSR Navasakam survey.
The Kapu Nestam Scheme is expected to be implemented in January 2020.
