The Andhra Pradesh Government would begin to distribute pensions from the 1st of August.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) would provide pension to 61.28 lakh beneficiaries in the State.
The total beneficiaries include 2,20,385 lakh new beneficiaries who applied in July under the State’s YSR Pension Kanuka scheme.
In regard to this, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led State Government released an amount of Rs.1478.90 crores. The State Government also released additional Rs. 51.67 crores for new beneficiaries.
The State Government made all the arrangements regarding the home delivery of the pension amount.
In addition, 1,52,095 beneficiaries who were unable to receive the pension from the past six months would get the pension amount together.
Besides, the State Government also added 1,568 health pensioners to the beneficiaries list who would be able to avail the financial aid from August.
Apart from the State Government, various corporations like Brahmin Corporation, Kapu, the Scheduled Castes (SCs,) the Scheduled Tribes (STs,) the Backward Class (BC,) and other minorities corporations are providing pensions under the YSR Pension Kanuka.
All the beneficiaries would receive a pension of Rs. 2,250 at the doorstep.
The door step delivery of the pension amount would be done using a geotagging technology, which would replace the biometric for safe distribution.
In order to curb the spread of the virus, the volunteers would be using a photo identification method in place of a biometric system.
A separate app would be used to capture the beneficiary picture through geotagging.
As many as 2.68 lakh volunteers in the state are ready to distribute pension money.
