YSRCP Government To Launch YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme

On the 30th of April, Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said the State Government would distribute pensions to beneficiaries.

The pensions would be distributed to widow, senior citizens and women from the 1st of May under the YSR Pension Kanuka scheme.  The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government would provide the pension scheme lakhs of pensioners amid lockdown.

This is the third scheme launched by the YSRCP in the span of a week amid the nation wide lockdown.  The lockdown which was imposed as a precautionary measure to fight the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 till the 3rd of May.

According to sources, the YSRCP Government made all the necessary arrangements to distribute the money.   Approximately 2,37,615 volunteers would distribute the money considering the social distancing norms and wearing masks in Andhra Pradesh.

The State Government confirmed 58.22 lakh beneficiaries for which, the YSRCP released a sum of Rs. 1,421.20 crores

The State Government would use a geo tagging system to ensure beneficiaries get money and photos would also be taken.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) would launch the scheme, following which the distribution would begin on the 1st of May.
