YSRCP Leader’s Open Challenge To Chandrababu Naidu Over Allegations Amid Panchayat Elections

After the defeat of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the ongoing Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,)Grama Panchayat elections, Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief of the TDP, criticized the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government.

Chandrababu Naidu alleged the YSRCP of threatening people of stopping the welfare schemes if they fail to vote for YSRCP.

Responding to the criticism of Mr. Chandrababu, the General Secretary and Government Advisor for Public Affairs Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy issued an open challenge to Mr. Naidu for a debate.

The YSRCP leader asked the TDP National President to have a debate over the ongoing Panchayat elections and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd phase results.

The four-phased elections started on the 9th of February and is scheduled till the 21st of February.

The State conducted three phases, on the 9th of February, the 13th of February and the 17th of February respectively.

To justify the victory of the YSRCP in the panchayat elections so far, Mr. Reddy said the panchayat election results are in favour of the YSRCP due to the welfare schemes of Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P.

According to the YSRCP leader, the Party is only working for the welfare of people and the growth of the State. He said, people, rejected N. Chandrababu Naidu and hence he is making baseless allegations against the YSRCP.

Mr. Reddy also said, the TDP is unable to digest the defeat in panchayat elections against the YSRCP.

Addressing the media, Mr. Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said, “TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is crying foul as he is unable to digest the defeat, particularly in his own Kuppam Assembly Constituency. Chandrababu Naidu always keeps on lying, whether he is in power or in the Opposition. He has been cheating the public…. this is the reason why people did not vote for him and candidates supported by Chandrababu Naidu’s party have lost panchayat elections in Kuppam.”

Mr. Reddy further alleged the State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar supported TDP and Naidu. He said, “Till a few days back, TDP has been lauding the SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as if he is a demigod. But now Chandrababu is slamming the SEC, for victories of YSRCP. We have criticised the SEC but we never abused him personally. We contradicted his partial attitude. But the election process is being held by the same SEC only. Then where is the failure? It is the people’s outright rejection of TDP and Chandrababu Naidu is not able to digest that fact.

The election results indicate there was no truth in the allegation. He said it was not the downfall of the YSRCP as claimed by Mr. Naidu, but the downfall of the TDP.

He expressed surprise over Naidu, who used to praise the SEC, now starting to criticize his actions. He dared the TDP chief for an open debate on the panchayat poll results.

Mr. Naidu is yet to respond to the open challenge of the YSRCP leader.

Meanwhile, the last phase of the Grama Panchayat elections is scheduled on the 21st of February.

Stay tuned for further updates.
