R.K. Roja, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) assured the safety of Telugu people stuck in China’s Wuhan, which is affected by Coronavirus.
On the evening of the 29th of January, Ms. Roja met parents who came to visit her and informed her how their children are stuck in Wuhan as the flights are being cancelled in Wuhan.
Approximately 17 cities of China, including Wuhan, are affected badly by Coronavirus, which has no cure so far and killed as many as 170 people in China. The Country also registered approximately 7,711 positive cases till the 29th of January.
MLA Roja met the parents and assured them their children would arrive safely in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) India.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Government, for the time being, cancelled all the to and fro flights, so the virus does not spread to other countries. Besides China, the virus has infected people of 16 other countries.
The Indian Government is also concerned about the Indians who are in China and is trying to bring them back.
Coronavirus is a family of viruses which lead to common health ailments like cold and cough, severe ailments such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV) and can also lead to death. Scientists in China are also working on developing a vaccine for the deadly virus.
