Undavalli Sridevi, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Tadikonda, on the 5th of September, met Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
The meeting was held at the Tadepalli Secretariat, where she complained against those who allegedly insulted Sridevi on Ganesh Chaturthi in Tadikonda constituency, on the 2nd of September.
Sridevi, a member of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) said a few members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) criticised and humiliated her during the festival. She further urged Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to look into the matter and take strict action against the TDP leaders.
Jagan Mohan Reddy immediately directed Mekathoti Sucharita, the Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, to take action against the alleged leader. He further said the action should be a lesson for others in the State so that one does such things, especially with a woman.
Apart from Jagan Mohan Reddy and Mekathoti Sucharita, Pinipe Viswaroop, the Social Welfare Minister, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, the MLA of Mangalagiri and other YSRCP leaders attended the meeting.
