Bala Showry, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Machilipatnam of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) on the 8th of July, wrote a letter to Om Prakash Birla, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

Bala Showry wrote the letter to ask Birla the permission to install a statue of late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, in the Parliament.

In the letter, Bala highlighted all the projects undertaken by Y.S. Rajasekhara for the welfare of the society and the residents of Andhra Pradesh. He said, Rajasekhara provided medical services at low costs and also launched fee reimbursement and the Aarogyasri scheme. Y.S. Rajasekhara also started Jalayagnam program with the Polavaram and Pulichintala projects.

After highlighting these fruitful projects undertaken by Rajasekhara, Bala urged the Lok Sabha Speaker to honour Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and install his statue at the Parliament.

The letter was written on the occasion of Y.S. Rajashekhar’s 70th birth anniversary.
