On the 27th of May, Mangalagiri Tehsildar served COVID-19 notice to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders for conducting Mahanadu, annual conclave of the TDP at Amaravati office.

TDP President Chandrababu Naidu, on the 27th of May, inaugurated TDP Conclave Mahandau, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government issued notice to TDP office in Amaravati for violating COVID-19 guidelines.

The revenue officer of Atmakur Village gave the letter issued over the notice to the TDP office secretary Ramani.  The notice read, “At present, there is a ban on political events and other gatherings in view of the coronavirus pandemic. If any violations of lockdown norms are found, then you will be eligible for action under the Disaster Management Act 2005.”

The YSRCP alleged the TDP of violating guidelines of social distancing during the organisation of Mahanadu.

On the other hand, another such petition regarding the violation of social distancing was filed agaist Chandrababu Naidu.

On the 25th of May, Chandrababu Naidu returned to A.P., from Hyderabad.  In this regard a few TDP leaders gathered in Visakhapatnam and attended Mr. Naidu.

The A.P., High Court heard the petition and ordered an ivestigation, regarding the same.  The next hearing regarding the Chandrababu Naidu case is scheduled on the 28th of May.
