Y.V. Subba Reddy, a member of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) will take over as the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board, on the 22nd of June.
On the 21st of June, the YSRCP, the ruling Government of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) appointed Y.V. Subba Reddy as the Chairman of the TTD Trust Board in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The decision came after the AP Government accepted the resignation of former members of the TTD Board, including the resignation of Putta Sudhakar Yadav, the former Chairman of the TTD.
After the defeat of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, questions were raised about the existence of the TTD Board. The members of the TTD Board were appointed by N. Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of AP and his Party, the TDP.
After the formation of the new Government in the State, the YSRCP demanded the resignation of the former members to constitute a new TTD Board members.
After the appointment of Y.V. Subba Reddy, the AP Government will soon appoint the remaining members of the new TTD Trust Board.
Y.V. Subba Reddy will take over as the newly elected Chairman of the TTD Trust Board on the 22nd of June.
