N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 10th of February, addressed a public rally in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and made negative remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Mr. Naidu, during the public rally in Vijayawada, spoke about Modi’s wife in his address and said, “Since you have referred to my son, I am mentioning your wife. People, do you know Narendra Modi has a wife? Her name is Jashodaben.”

The remarks about Modi’s wife came after Mr. Modi criticised Naidu, on the 10th of February, during a public rally in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Modi said, Chandrababu Naidu is working for the development of N. Lokesh, his son, instead of the State’s progress.

Moving on with his criticism against the Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) Chandrababu Naidu claimed, the decision of demonetisation was a ‘mad Tughlaq act.’ He also held Narendra Modi and his Government responsible for destroying the Country and its system.

Naidu also said, the move of the BJP to visit Andhra Pradesh ahead of the State Assembly elections is a ‘flop.’ He stated, the people of Andhra Pradesh showed their protest by not attending Modi’s rally and taught a lesson to the BJP, which betrayed their trust.

Speaking about the Telugu Desam Party’s move of quitting the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in 2018, Naidu said the reason was the injustice done to Andhra Pradesh post bifurcation.

Ever since Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated into the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh, the State is demanding the granting of Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh, as per the provisions of the AP State Reorganisation Act, 2014.

Naidu, the TDP leader, is disappointed with the Central Government, which is not granting the SCS to the State. Naidu also called for a protest against the BJP Government, on the 11th of February, at Andhra Bhavan in Delhi.

Stay tuned for further updates.
