The Special General Body Meeting (SGM) of the board has been scheduled for July 26 where only the office bearers of the State associations can participate in the meeting. Therefore, on Monday, the Supreme Court had barred former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, N. Srinivasan from attending the meeting.

The bench which is headed by Justice Dipak Misra said that as far as feasible the SGM will also deliberate the implementation of the R.M. Lodha Committee’s recommendations.

As per the report, the Apex Court had stated the question of State Associations nominating people who are eliminated under the Lodha Committee Recommendations to represent them in the General Body Meeting (GBM) of the BCCI will be deliberated.

Following the resignation of noted Historian Ramachandra Guha and veteran Banker, Vikram Limaye, the court has fixed August 18 for the hearing of filling of two vacancies in the Committee of Administrators.

After Limaye’s appointment as Managing Director and CEO of the National Stock Exchange, he had sought to be relieved from the affairs of Indian cricket.
