Valentine’s Day, the 14th of February, is also said to be an auspicious day for couples. Some couples in Hyderabad are approaching gynecologists to have a caesarean delivery.
According to sources, approximately 10 married couples knocked the door of Parakunsham Venu Swamy, an astrologer, for an auspicious time to have a baby on Valentine’s Day, as a symbol of love.
The couples also went to several gynecologists with a request to go for a caesarean delivery, however, the doctors denied to do so if the due date is much further away.
According to Venu Swamy, the auspicious time for the delivery on Valentine’s Day was from 10:30 A.M., to 12:00 P.M.
Gynecologists are dealing with the parents, who want their baby to be a symbol of love and enter their life on the 14th of February.
Speaking about such requests, Dr. Radha, who runs a clinic in Ameerpet, said, “Sometimes we consider requests, like a particular day if the delivery is a preplanned caesarean section and the due date is within one week. Valentine’s Day is the new fad.”
Another gynecologist, Dr. Prabha, said, “I got three such requests for Valentine’s Day caesarean deliveries this year, but turned them down as these would have been premature. We tell them that it is best to go for a caesarean only when natural delivery is not possible.”
The couples who believe Valentine’s Day symbolises love are getting crazy with the idea and going after doctors for the delivery, even if it is a premature baby.
