On Thursday morning, a fire broke out in Patrika Nagar in Madhapur damaging 50 huts in Hyderabad. Fortunately, officials reported there were no casualties in the fire accident.
The city police said the mishap occurred at around 10 A.M., at one of the temporary huts. These huts are where many construction laborers and other workers live. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained but the police assume it could have been a short circuit or fire from a stove.
Most of the huts were empty as they had left for a long day of work. But a few locals in the area noticed the fire and informed the Madhapur police. About 5 fire tenders with 30 firemen and 50 police personnel arrived at the spot. The fire was doused within 45 minutes of the officials’ arrival.
The police also reported a case was booked and an investigation would be probed.
