On Wednesday, the Hyderabad Police busted a cricket betting racket. The Police apprehended four people in connection with the racket. The officials seized a total of Rs. 62,190 along with 5 mobile phones and 2 betting notebooks.
The main accused was identified as K. Srinivas from Satyanagar Colony. He was arrested on charges of organising cricket betting for the ongoing T-20 matches in New Zealand. Srinivas used Paytm to collect the money from the gamblers. The officials reported Srinivas has been organising betting for the past six months.
The remaining three arrested were K. Sridhar, P. Sai Kumar and R. Sai Kumar. The police received reliable information regarding the illegal betting and raided the premises.
