The Hyderabad Police, on the 24th of April, rescued three children, including a month old baby girl, from a group of kidnappers.

In October 2018, the group of kidnapers allegedly kidnapped the babies from different parts of Hyderabad and Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The group then sold the children to childless couples for an amount ranging between Rs. 2.5 lakhs and Rs. 3.10 lakhs.

A special team of Hyderabad Police, based on the information, rescued the babies from the buyers and arrested V. Gangadhar Reddy, the chief of the group. Six other members of the group, including 4 women, were also taken into custody.

G. Koteshwar Rao, the Inspector of the Chandrayangutta Police Station, said, the Police rescued two boys between the age group of 2 and 2.5 years and a month old baby girl.

The police launched an investigation and are trying to arrest the absconding members of the group.
