On the 9th of June, India won the One Day International (ODI) match against Australia.

The Indian Cricket Team won with 36 runs in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup at The Oval, England.

England is hosting the ICC World Cup 2019 this year, which started on the 30th of May and will continue till the 14th of July.

The Indian Team stood with an outstanding score of 352 runs and a loss of 5 wickets after 50 overs. Australia, on the other hand, managed to score 316 runs after 50 overs.
India won the toss and chose to bat, with Shikhar Dhawan, the opening batsman, scoring 117 runs. Virat Kohli, the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, scored 82 runs, followed by Rohit Sharma, who scored 57 runs.

Owing to his tremendous performance, Shikhar Dhawan was declared the Man of the Match.
Shikhar Dhawan said, “We are happy with the result as it was a great team effort. It’s a great sign for our team and I’m happy with this man of the match award. Very happy with the performance overall. We are a great fielding side, we took great catches. We have a good bowling side, great spinners as well. We work really hard in the nets, our process is very strong that’s why the results are going our way. We ticked all the boxes today. We knew they are a great side and the match will go down to the wire. We need to continue ticking the boxes in upcoming matches. The fans are having a great time and they’ll be happy with this win”

This is India’s second victory in the ICC World Cup 2019. On the 5th of June, India won against South Africa by scoring 230 runs.

The next match, which will be between South Africa and West Indies, is on the 10th of June at 3:00 P.M.
