On the 14th of June, England won the One Day International (ODI) match against West Indies.
Team England won with 8 wickets in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup at The Hampshire Bowl, England.
England is hosting the ICC World Cup this year, which started on the 30th of May and will continue till the 14th of July.
England performed well with an outstanding score of 213 runs and a loss of only 2 wickets after 33.1 overs. West Indies, on the other hand, managed to score 212 runs after 44.4 overs as all the players were out.
Although Eoin Morgan and Jason Roy sustained injuries during the match and did not play, Team England managed to win the ODI match against West Indies.
Eoin Morgan said, “I don’t know. Like everybody, we will have to see how it pulls up, particularly probably with myself and Jason, maybe a couple of the bowlers, and do a risk assessment and see how risky it is going into that game, bearing in mind we have two games in quite a short space.” He further said, after his injury, Team England will design a strategy for the future matches.
This is the third victory of England in the ICC World Cup’s ODI matches. Previously, England won 2 ODI matches, one against South Africa and another against Bangladesh, on the 30th of May and the 8th of June respectively.
On the 15th of June, there will be two ODI matches, one between Sri Lanka and Australia at 3:00 P.M., and another between South Africa and Afghanistan at 6:00 P.M.
