India Today Busted A Scandal By Maharashtra Cricket Association Curator

A sting operation by the India Today reporters unveiled a massive scandal of the pitch curator from the Maharashtra Cricket Association.

On Wednesday, the reporters disguised as bookies caught the curator allowing people to tamper with the pitch. The shocking news came to light on the eve of the second ODI match between India and New Zealand in Pune.

The curator identified as Pandurang Salgaonkar was caught on camera talking to the disguised bookies. In the video, Salgaonkar tells the bookies the pitch would be made according to their demands.

Salgaonkar is seen violating a number of laws by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC.) He even allowed the bookies to inspect the pitch which is one of the violations.

After the sting operation was aired on national television, MCA President Abhay Apte got in touch with India Today and said, “We will look into the matter. Rest assured, if anyone (is) found guilty, strict action will be taken.”
