Seven children and a van driver were killed and approximately 8 were injured in a road accident, today, in Madhya Pradesh.
The incident took place in Satna district when a school van belonging to Lucky School Convent, Birsinghpur, collided with a bus. The police rushed to the site to rescue the victims.
Eight people died on the spot. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and are undergoing treatment.
Santosh Singh Gaur, a Satna District Police official, said, “As per reports, at least seven school children travelling in the school van and its driver were killed in the accident.”
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, took to Twitter and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
