Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi at the 72nd UNGA

The 72nd United Nations General Assembly is here and the heads of all the countries are gearing up to address the issues of their interest. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi plans to talk about the Kashmir issue and the Rohingya Muslim’s crisis.

The Pakistan Prime Minister arrived in New York on Monday and will be meeting world leaders during his four day stay. Apart from the mandatory meetings, everyone is waiting for the 21st September meeting PM Abbasi will have with America’s Vice President Mike Pence.

The Trump administration scheduled President Trump’s meeting and did not include his Pakistani counterpart in any of the meetings, not even a casual greeting was scheduled.

PM Abbasi will work towards putting a halt of the deteriorating ties between his country and America during his meeting with Mike Pence.

The 72nd United Nations General Assembly will discuss topics varying from gender equality, peacekeeping, refugees, health and the environment.
