“I am Hindustan and I am ashamed” is a campaign taken up by many celebrities to protest the gruesome rape and murder of 8 year old Muslim from Jammu and Kashmir earlier this year. The country has been enraged by the group of Hindus who brutally raped the child for more than three days just to scare the Muslim nomads from a Hindu majority area. Celebrities like Sonam Kapoor and Gul Panag voiced out against the rape.
