Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC,) on the 6th of July, was granted bail in another case registered against him by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)

Sushil Modi, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, filed a case against Rahul Gandhi before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s (CJM) court in Patna.

During an election rally in Kolar, Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi used ‘Modi chor hai’ slogans and targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying all the thieves have the surname Modi.

He proved his words by speaking about Nirav Modi, who is an accused in a bank fraud case and Lalit Modi, the former Indian Premier League (IPL) Commissioner, who is also involved in a corruption case.

The case was reviewed by ACJM Kumar Gunjan, which was referred to him by CJM Shashikant Roy.

Mr. Gunjan granted bail to Rahul Gandhi with a surety of Rs. 10,000.

Rahul Gandhi, before appearing in front of the court, addressed the media and said, “I will appear in person at the Civil Court in Patna today at 2 P.M., in yet another case filed against me by my political opponents in the RSS/BJP to harass & intimidate me. Satyameva Jayate.”

Recently, on the 4th of July, Rahul Gandhi was granted bail in another case of defamation, filed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS.)
