The Vice President of HDFC Bank Siddharth Sanghvi was found dead on Sunday evening at Haji Malang road near Mumbai. The police recovered his car with blood stains on the seat at Koparkhairane in Navi Mumbai.
Siddharth Sanghvi went missing on the 5th of September from his office premises in Kamala Mills. The family of Mr. Sanghvi filed a missing complaint at the NM Joshi Marg Police Station. The police investigated the case and found Mr. Sanghvi’s phone switched off before he left Kamala Hills which was his last location according to the call record data. The local police along with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is trying to solve the murder case.
According to sources, the police detained 20 year old Sarfaraz Shaikh from Navi Mumbai. The suspect has given three names to the police who could be the key to solve the case. He claimed that the three people stabbed the HDFC Vice President in the parking lot inside Kamala Mills compound in Lower Parel.
An app based driver Shaikh also said that the three men wrapped Sanghvi’s body in a mattress and kept it in his car. Shaikh has claimed that he was given the responsibility to dispose of the body. Sarfaraz Shaikh altered his statement a few times on Sunday evening says police sources.
The Mumbai police suspect the murder might be due to professional rivalry. The investigation is still on to identify the murderer of Mr. Siddharth Sanghvi.
The Mumbai police sources say the cops are combing the CCTV footage, call records and statements of the accused to solve the murder case.
