On Tuesday, three women suicide bombers blew themselves up in front of a camp set up for displaced people. The blast happened in North East Nigeria and resulted in the death of 28 people and wounded 82.

The attack took place in a town called Mandarari which is 25 kilometers from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state. A member of a vigilante force that is set up to fight jihadists, Baba Kura said, “Three female bombers triggered their explosive outside of the IDP (internally displaced persons) camp… killing 28 people and wounding 82 others.”

He further added, “People were trying to close their shops when two other female bombers triggered their explosives, causing most of the casualties.”

The head of the anti jihadist militant force, Ibrahim Liman reported the details of the attack and also said the 80 injured people were rushed to a hospital.

North East Nigeria is constantly in danger due to the activity of the notorious jihadist group, Boko Haram.

The group made its biggest attack back in 2009 that killed 20,000 people and leaving 2.6 million people displaced from their homes.

On Saturday, Boko Haram conducted a night raid in a village called Amarwa which is 20 kilometers from Maiduguri. The militant group killed four people and torched the houses in the village.
