The West Bengal (WB) Police, on the 15th of May, released, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, the Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) due to a lack of evidence against him.

The WB Police, on the 14th of May, arrested Tajinder and other Party workers for being violent outside the Vidyasagar college in West Bengal.

According to the Trinamool Congress (TMC,) Tajinder was one of the accused who allegedly burnt motorbikes outside the College and vandalised the statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.

The TMC also alleged the BJP workers for attacking the TMC workers during the roadshow of Amit Shah, the President of the BJP.

However, due to lack of evidence, the WB Police released Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga. After he was released, he took to his Twitter handle and posted a tweet.

Tejinder was among other leaders who were detained and was accused of creating chaos in West Bengal during the roadshow.

Speaking about his arrest, Bagga gave a detailed description regarding his arrest. He said the WB Police entered his hotel room during the late night at 2:00 A.M., and arrested him.

The BJP and Tejinder’s supporters celebrated his release and posted on Twitter with #FreeTejinderBagga.
